Since launching in 1989, First Direct has always been different. It’s one of the few banks that’s successfully used irreverence in its tone of voice. Social media is the perfect platform to let their playful voice engage audiences. Here’s a selection of posts I created for them. 

2022 Pride Month sponsorship

First Direct were sponsors of Leeds Pride, with their own stage in the city centre. The first Pride Month after two years of lockdown was a chance for people to let their hair down, and to inject a splash of colour into the brand's use of black and white.

Shelter partnership

First Direct teamed up with Shelter to offer customers specialist legal advice if they were worried about paying their mortgage or rent during the Cost of Living crisis. 

Topical

Social media is a fast way to keep people engaged and to build on first direct’s unique voice. Summer 2022 was memorable for two things: the heatwave and the Women's Euro football tournament.
